Accident

Thank you for sharing what happened and for letting us pray with you. I am sorry to hear about the fall and the swelling in your ankle, and also about the sadness you are feeling after so many accidents this past year. It is understandable to feel discouraged when hard things keep happening.

Discouragement itself can be one of the greatest obstacles. The enemy will use lies and disappointment to try to stop the work God wants to do in your life and to make you feel like giving up. The important thing is to keep going, to keep trusting the Lord and walking faithfully with Him even when the response or the circumstances are not what you hoped for. I have found in my own life that seasons of deep discouragement, when it felt like stepping back from everything, were actually the moments right before God began to work in a new and deeper way. When I simply remained faithful in the small, quiet things before Him, He brought blessing and strength that I could not have produced on my own. Please do not let this difficult season convince you that God has left you. He has not.

I am praying for complete healing for your ankle in Jesus name, and I also want to encourage you to care for your body with the wisdom God has given us. The Lord cares about your health and He often brings healing through practical, wise care as well as through prayer. Scripture shows us that God gave His people principles for caring for their bodies and living in healthy ways because He wants us to be well. Because your ankle is very swollen even though you feel no pain, please have it examined promptly by a medical professional and follow their guidance for rest, elevation and care. Pray and also take the practical steps God has provided for healing.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the swollen ankle and You know the sadness after so many accidents. I ask for Your healing touch, for wisdom for any doctor or caregiver, and for a full and complete recovery. Comfort this heart, lift discouragement, and remind them of Your nearness and faithful love. Give peace, strength to keep trusting You day by day, and protection in the days ahead. Amen.

Please keep us updated on how you are doing and how your ankle is healing so we can continue to pray.
