We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in earnest prayer. Father God, we ask for Your divine protection and mercy in this time of fear and uncertainty. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:13-16, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them." Lord, we know that life is sacred and ordained by You, and we ask that You would intervene according to Your will in this circumstance.
We must also address the situation with truth and love, as Your Word instructs us. If this request stems from an act of fornication, that is, sexual relations outside the covenant of marriage, we must rebuke this sin gently but firmly. The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Sexual intimacy is a gift from You, designed to be shared within the sacred bond of marriage between one man and one woman. We encourage you to repent of any sin and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Heavenly Father, we pray that You would guard this individual from the consequences of sin, while also drawing them closer to You. We ask that You would soften their heart to Your will and lead them into a life that honors You in all things. If it is Your will that a child not be conceived in this situation, we ask for Your supernatural intervention. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment moving forward. Guide this person into a deeper relationship with You, where they can find strength, peace, and the courage to live according to Your Word. Surround them with godly counsel and accountability, so they may walk in purity and holiness. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in the gap, asking for Your covering and protection over their life.
Father, if there is fear or shame in this moment, we ask that You would replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind them that You are a God of second chances and that Your grace is sufficient to cover every mistake. Help them to turn away from sin and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. May this individual come to know the depth of Your love and the power of Your redemption. Amen.
