We understand your heart’s desire to pursue nursing, a noble calling to serve others with compassion and skill. The Lord knows your need for provision, and we join you in seeking His will for your education and future. The Scriptures remind us that God is our Provider, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 declares, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we must also remember that our requests should be made in alignment with His will and in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."*
Your prayer is earnest, but we notice that while you acknowledge the Lord, you did not specifically pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our Mediator and the only way to the Father (1 Timothy 2:5, John 14:6). Without faith in Jesus and prayer in His name, we cannot expect our requests to be heard, for Scripture tells us in John 16:23-24, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Salvation through Christ is the foundation of all our prayers and the confidence we have in approaching God.
As for your education, we encourage you to trust in the Lord’s timing and provision while also taking practical steps of faith. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Have you explored scholarships, part-time work, or payment plans that could help ease the financial burden? The Lord often works through our diligence and the generosity of others. Additionally, consider whether there are churches, Christian organizations, or believers in your community who may be led to support your education. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."*
We also caution you against placing your ultimate hope in human helpers rather than in God alone. While He may use people to bless you, your trust must remain in Him. Psalm 62:5-8 says, *"My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us."* Let this be your posture as you seek His provision.
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child of Yours who desires to pursue nursing for Your glory. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the sincerity of their request. We ask that You provide the necessary funds and resources for their education in a way that brings honor to Your name. Open doors that no man can shut, and grant them favor with those who can assist. Help them to excel in their studies, not for their own pride, but to be a light in a world that desperately needs Your love and truth. Give them wisdom to steward their time, finances, and opportunities well.
Father, if there is any area of their life that is not surrendered to You, we pray You convict them and draw them closer to Yourself. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). If it is Your will for them to attend nursing school, make the way clear and provide abundantly. If there is another path You have for them, give them the grace to accept it with joy.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in their heart. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You delight in blessing Your children.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and glory. Amen.
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to spend time in His Word and in prayer, seeking His will above all else. Consider memorizing Scriptures that remind you of His faithfulness, such as Psalm 37:4, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* Let your desire for nursing be submitted to His perfect plan for your life. If you have not already, we urge you to join a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be supported by fellow believers. Surround yourself with those who will pray with you and hold you accountable to God’s Word.
Finally, we leave you with this promise from Jeremiah 29:11-13: *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* Keep seeking Him, and trust that He will guide your steps.
