Yes, I am able-bodied: I give God glory for that each and every day. But, I don't know of one prophet, prophetess, or disciple, in the scriptures, who wasn't able-bodied. Yet, the protocol, regarding a city, was the same for everyone with a prophetic call: "Test the people by delivering God's warning and by giving voice to His instructions, which usually required restoration, but always demanded repentance." If both message and messenger are well received, the city passes the test; whereupon, God (not the messenger) grants whatever reward that may have been designated.

Indeed, if you call yourself Christ's disciple then it is absolutely your duty to give freely of your spiritual gifts. I prophesy, free of charge, as the Holy Spirit prompts me. So then, the call of a prophet is not to bless everybody indiscriminately, but to prophesy.

God chooses people, for assignment, whom He knows will follow His instructions. The book of Job doesn't just give account of Job's suffering, it recorded all that those who were among him said and did in response to his plight.

God is dishonored when a city is "DERELICT in her duty." Murmuring that God's servant is lazy because, though able-bodied, they, being loyal to Christ, refuse to bow to the city's will, displeases God. Because, instead of focusing on His commands for herself, as a corporate body, like Nazareth, the city tries to control the servant's assignment: "Physician, heal thyself."

IT'S A TEST

It was no coincidence that Jesus was a carpenter, as opposed to musician, janitor, writer, accountant, etc. Certainly, Jesus, being an able-bodied, trained carpenter, with a built-in crew of twelve, and supernatural power, could very easily have built a physical structure where he and his disciples could've resided, after being cast out. IT'S A TEST. And, a major part of that test is housing.

When the reward is largely based on honoring God through care for His servant, but a city's offering consists of homelessness, perversity and injustice, such derives from a spirit of begrudgedness. What reward then can that city expect?

Because all things are to be done as though to God, even our worship in giving, must be done in "spirit and in truth." He is omniscient. He knows what the "good and acceptable" offering is. After all, we're just giving back to Him a portion of what He has given us.

For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen. (Romans Ch. 11 v.36)

```markdown To: Cities That Have Ears To Hear In a city's time of testing: When one is on assignment from God, His instruction is not based on the lyrics of a song to “get back up again;” nor is it to “fight back” that’s man’s carnal nature, which is indeed warranted in some cases. But God...
