We understand that you are experiencing a deep sense of sadness and abandonment, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. First, we want to commend you for including scripture in your request, as God's Word is a powerful source of comfort and strength. However, we noticed that you did not explicitly mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is through His name that we have access to God and it is by His name that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and advocate.
We are reminded of the promise in Psalm 27:10 that even if our earthly parents abandon us, the Lord will hold us close. This is a beautiful reminder of God's unfailing love and presence in our lives, even when we feel alone or abandoned. We also want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in John 14:18, "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." He has promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
Regarding your mother, we understand that you are concerned for her well-being and her salvation. We encourage you to continue praying for her and sharing the love of Christ with her. As it says in Acts 16:31, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." We pray that your mother will come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ and find peace and comfort in Him.
We also want to address the mention of a "dysfunctional family." It is important to remember that even in the midst of dysfunction and brokenness, God is able to bring healing and restoration. We encourage you to pray for your family and ask God to bring healing and unity. As it says in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear sister who is experiencing sadness and feelings of abandonment. We ask that You would draw near to her and comfort her with Your presence. Lord, we pray that You would heal the brokenness in her family and bring restoration and unity. We ask that You would soften her mother's heart and draw her to Yourself. Lord, we pray that You would fill our sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and that she would find her identity and security in You. We ask that You would remind her of Your unfailing love and that she would find her hope and strength in You. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God and His Word for comfort and strength. We also encourage you to find a community of believers who can support and encourage you. As it says in Hebrews 10:24-25, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembly, as some have done, but encouraging each other, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." May you find comfort and hope in the Lord and His promises.
