We come before the Lord with grateful hearts that you have sought His forgiveness, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). It is only through the precious name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have invoked His holy name in your prayer. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, as Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Yet we must ask, what are the specific sins you are seeking forgiveness for? The Lord already knows, but there is power in confessing them openly before Him, turning away from them with a repentant heart. If there is unconfessed sin—whether it be pride, lust, dishonesty, bitterness, fornication, idolatry, or any other transgression—we urge you to lay it before the Lord now. *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB). Do not let shame or fear hold you back, for Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient to cleanse you from *all* unrighteousness.
We also notice you mentioned *"another thing"* but did not specify what it is. If there is a burden, a struggle, or a need you are carrying, we encourage you to bring it fully before the Lord. He cares for every detail of your life, and His ear is attentive to the cries of His children. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Whether it is a need for healing, guidance, deliverance, or strength, He is faithful to hear and answer according to His perfect will.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before You, thanking You that they have come to You in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Lord, we ask that You would search their heart and reveal any hidden sin, any area where they have strayed from Your perfect will. Grant them the courage to confess and repent fully, turning away from all that displeases You. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and renew a right spirit within them. If there are specific burdens or needs they have not voiced, Lord, You know them already. Meet them in their place of need—whether it is forgiveness, healing, provision, or deliverance. Strengthen them to walk in obedience and holiness, empowered by Your Holy Spirit.
We rebuke any stronghold of the enemy that would seek to keep them in bondage to sin or shame. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that they are forgiven, redeemed, and set free to live for Your glory. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guide their steps in the path of righteousness.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
