We join with you in humbly coming before the throne of grace, recognizing that our Heavenly Father is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess them to Him (1 John 1:9). It is a beautiful thing that you seek forgiveness and deliverance, for the Lord delights in a contrite heart that turns to Him in repentance.
The struggle with lust and demonic influences is one that many face, but we must remember that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy seeks to entangle us in sin through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16), but we are called to walk in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Evil music—whether through its lyrics, rhythms, or the spirits behind it—can open doors to darkness in our lives. We must guard our hearts and minds, for out of them flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Let us fill our hearts with praises to God, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that edify and draw us closer to Him (Ephesians 5:19).
You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His precious blood that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7). We must always approach the Father in Jesus’ name, for He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray together for your deliverance and freedom:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging our need for Your mercy and grace. Lord, we ask that You forgive ### for any sin they have committed, known or unknown, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Wash them whiter than snow by the blood of the Lamb, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:7, 10).
We stand against every spirit of lust that seeks to ensnare them. Lord, break its power in Jesus’ name. Deliver them from every demonic attachment, every ungodly soul tie, and every influence of darkness that has sought to take root in their life. We command every evil spirit to flee now, for the Spirit of the Lord is upon them, anointing them to preach good news, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to proclaim freedom for the captives (Isaiah 61:1). Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn away every impurity and fill them with Your presence.
Father, we also ask for deliverance from the influence of evil music. Break the power of any ungodly rhythms, lyrics, or spirits that have sought to corrupt their mind and heart. Replace it with a hunger for Your Word and a love for worship that glorifies Your name. Let them be drawn to music that exalts You and builds up their faith.
Lord, we ask that You fill them with the Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in victory. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:22). Clothe them with the full armor of God so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You have promised that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We declare freedom and victory over this child of Yours in the name of Jesus Christ. Let them walk in the liberty for which Christ has set them free (Galatians 5:1).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother/sister, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ Jesus. Stay rooted in Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). If you have not already, we urge you to remove any music, media, or influences from your life that do not honor God. Replace them with things that draw you closer to Him.
Finally, if you are struggling with lust, we encourage you to flee from it and pursue righteousness. Remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and you are called to honor God with it. If you are not married, we urge you to remain pure, for fornication is a sin against your own body. If you are married, we encourage you to love your spouse as Christ loves the Church, keeping the marriage bed undefiled (Hebrews 13:4).
Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are loved, you are forgiven, and you are free in Christ!
