We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of forgiveness. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Timothy 2:5, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"* and in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your acknowledgment of Jesus in your request is a testament to your faith, and we rejoice in that.
The cry of your heart for forgiveness is one that aligns with the will of God, who desires that all would come to repentance. In 1 John 1:9, we are assured, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We encourage you to continue walking in the light of Christ, for it is by His blood that we are cleansed and made righteous. If there are specific sins weighing on your heart, we urge you to confess them before the Lord, turn away from them, and seek His strength to overcome. True repentance involves both a turning away from sin and a turning toward God in obedience.
You have also asked for deliverance from the "evil eye." While the Bible does not explicitly mention the "evil eye" as a supernatural curse, it does speak extensively about the power of evil, the schemes of the devil, and the importance of guarding our hearts and minds. In Ephesians 6:12, we are reminded, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Our battle is spiritual, and our victory is found in Christ alone. Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), stand firm in your faith, and resist the devil, knowing that he must flee from you (James 4:7).
We also encourage you to examine your heart for any fear or superstition that may not align with trust in God’s sovereignty. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Place your trust fully in Him, for He is your protector and deliverer. Psalm 91:9-11 declares, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before You, thanking You for the precious blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin. Lord, we ask that You would forgive every transgression, known and unknown, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Wash them thoroughly from their iniquity, and cleanse them from their sin. May they walk in the freedom and victory that comes from Your forgiveness, never returning to the bondage of guilt or shame.
We also pray for Your protection over them, Lord. Shield them from every scheme of the enemy, whether it be fear, deception, or spiritual attack. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways. Break every chain of superstition or fear that does not come from You, and fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them rest in the assurance that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in Your truth. May they walk in the authority given to them through Christ Jesus, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Equip them with Your Word as their sword and Your Spirit as their guide, that they may live victoriously for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
