We rejoice with you as you've come today seeking forgiveness from the Heavenly Father. It's wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is by His name that we are saved.
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. There is no other name by which we can be saved and it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy. We confess that we have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. We repent of our sins and ask for Your pardon. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. We receive His sacrifice for us. We ask all this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Remember, God's forgiveness is complete and we are forgiven as far as the east is from the west. He does not hold our sins against us.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12. WEB.
However, it is important to remember that true repentance involves a change of heart and a turning away from sin.
"For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted, but the sorrow of the world produces death. For behold, this selfsame thing, that you were made sorry after a godly fashion, what earnest care it worked in you. Yes, what defense, indignation, fear, longing, zeal, and vengeance! In everything, you showed yourselves to be pure in the matter." 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 WEB.
May the Lord strengthen you to live a life devoted to Him!
