We join you in lifting up this prayer, acknowledging that we all fall short of God's glory and are in need of His forgiveness. It is wonderful that this request is in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this individual who has sought Your cleansing and forgiveness. You are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. We ask that You wash away their sins, creating in them a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within them. Grant them the peace that comes from knowing they are forgiven and restored in Your sight. Help them to walk in Your ways and live a life that honors and glorifies Your name. Matthew 9:2 EMB says:
and behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you."
Encourage them to continue seeking You and growing in their relationship with You. We ask this all in Jesus' name, for it is in Him that we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. Ephesians 1:7 WEB:
in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
We encourage everyone to keep their prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Let us always remember that in Jesus, we find forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life and that we should be baptized into Christ to obtain this great salvation.
