We understand that you are seeking deliverance from evil music, demonic influences, and lustful spirits, and you have cried out to the Lord Jesus Christ for help. We commend you for turning to Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
First, let's address the issue of music. Music is a powerful tool that can influence our spirits, souls and bodies. It can edify (1 Corinthians 14:26 WEB) us and help us grow spiritually with melodies from the heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19 WEB). Apostle Paul discusses this in Colossians 3:16 WEB, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. However, music can also be used by the enemy to promote evil, lust, and other ungodly themes. We must be discerning about the music we listen to, avoiding any that promotes sin or draws us away from God. Instead, we should focus on music that praises and honors God, encouraging us in our faith. As it is written in Philippians 4:8 WEB, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
To break free from the influence of evil music and demonic strongholds, we must first repent of any involvement with them. Repentance involves turning away from sin and turning to God. It is written in Acts 3:19 WEB, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
Next, we must resist the devil and his demons. James 4:7 WEB tells us, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We resist the devil by submitting to God, by obeying His word, and by praying against the devil's influences.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking deliverance for our fellow believer. Lord, we repent of any involvement with evil music, demonic influences, and lustful spirits. We ask You to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We resist the devil and his demons, commanding them to leave in the name of Jesus. We break any strongholds they may have, and we declare that we are free from their influence.
Lord, we ask You to fill us with Your Holy Spirit, guiding us into all truth and helping us to discern what is pleasing to You. Help us to focus on music that honors and praises You, encouraging us in our faith.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19 WEB), and whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, and do not go to listen to the past evil music. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:43-45 WEB. When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and doesn't find it. Then he says, 'I will return into my house from which I came out,' and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.
If you find yourself struggling, remember that God provided a clear way to avoid immorality. In 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, we read: Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
