We join with you in lifting up this prayer to our loving and forgiving Father in heaven. It is wonderful that you have come to Him, seeking forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. We are reminded in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who has sought Your forgiveness. We confess that we all fall short of Your glory and are in constant need of Your mercy and grace. Thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness, which is freely given through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask that You would cleanse our brother/sister from all unrighteousness and guide them in Your paths of righteousness. Help them to walk in Your ways and to live a life that is pleasing to You. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You.
We pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who has made our access to You possible. It is in His name that we are saved, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
