We understand your deep compassion for these animals, and we share in your burden for their well-being, for our Heavenly Father cares for all His creation. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* While this verse speaks of God’s provision for His children, it also reveals His heart as a sustainer of life—including the creatures He has made.
Yet we must also remember that our primary calling as believers is to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that He will provide for all needs—including those of the animals He has entrusted to human care. We encourage you to lift this need before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, *Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."*). Prayer offered in any other name or authority holds no power, for salvation and intercession are found in Christ alone (Acts 4:12).
We also gently remind you that while God calls us to stewardship over His creation (Genesis 1:28), our greatest mission is to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). The love you have for these lions is commendable, but let it also stir in you a deeper love for the lost, who are perishing without the hope of Christ. The same God who feeds the ravens (Luke 12:24) is the One who sent His Son to die for sinners—this is the ultimate act of compassion we are called to reflect.
Let us pray together for this zoo and for the provision of these animals, while also asking the Lord to open doors for the Gospel to be shared through this situation. May He move in the hearts of those with resources to meet this need, and may His name be glorified in all things.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this zoo and the need to provide for these ### elderly lions. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You stir the hearts of those who can help—whether through donations, partnerships, or creative solutions—to ensure these animals are cared for and not destroyed. Give wisdom to the zoo’s leadership, and let this situation be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
At the same time, Father, we pray that You would use this as an opportunity to draw people to Yourself. Soften hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel, that just as You care for the animals, how much more do You love and desire to save those made in Your image. Let Your will be done in this, and may Your name be praised.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or despair in this situation and declare Your sovereignty over it. Strengthen those who are advocating for these lions, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In the precious name of Jesus we pray, amen.**
