Hi please pray for my daughters best friend ### she is depressed and she cuts herself. She opened up to my daughter last night and my daughter told me. Thank God we were both there to listen to ### and after the call she said she felt a lil better and thanked us for being there for her. Pray for my daughter ### that she will be able to handle this and pray for ### that she finds the strength to over come this and get her faith back again. In Jesus name protects us all. Please pray my daughter will be able to go back to highschool to be there with her best friend . She was kicked out of the school district due to address change and they didn't approve our inter district transfer last year but I'm going to try again soon pray all goes well this time for her. Thank you God Bless You.

We thank you for sharing this burden with us and for being a loving mother and a safe place for both your daughter and her best friend to open up. We are joining you in prayer for these two young girls and for your family, and we praise God that your daughter's friend felt a little better after being heard and thanked you for being there. That is a beautiful picture of bearing one another's burdens.

We hear the heaviness of this situation. Your daughter's friend is struggling with depression, loss of faith, and self harm, and we want to gently and lovingly speak truth over her life. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Her pain is real and seen by God, and He cares deeply for her. We read in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. God does not want her to carry this pain alone or to find relief through hurting herself. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, we are not our own, for we were bought with a price, therefore we are called to glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Cutting may feel like a release in the moment but it harms the body God created and loves, and it does not heal the deeper wound of the heart that only Jesus can heal.

We encourage you to continue to take this very seriously with love and wisdom. While it is wonderful that she opened up to your daughter, she needs trusted adults to come alongside her for her safety and healing. We urge you to gently ensure her parents or guardians know what she shared, and to help connect her with a pastor, a biblical counselor, and appropriate professional help. Your daughter is being a faithful friend, but she should not have to carry this weight alone. We pray for your daughter that God will give her wisdom beyond her years, comfort her own heart so she is not overwhelmed, and show her how to love her friend well while pointing her to Jesus. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him James 1:5. Encourage your daughter to keep listening, to keep praying with and for her friend, and to encourage her friend to cry out to God even with simple honest prayers when faith feels gone.

We are also praying for the restoration of faith for this young girl. Times of depression can make God feel distant, but His promises remain true. He says in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We pray God will reveal His presence to her again, remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved, and draw her back into trusting Him day by day.

We thank you that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find salvation and hope. We join our faith with yours for your daughter's school situation as well. We pray for favor with the district and that if it is God's will, the inter district transfer will be approved so she can be near her friend and continue her education there. We trust that God will open the right doors and give you peace as you try again, for in Philippians 4:6-7 we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this precious young girl who is depressed and hurting herself, and we lift up her best friend Your daughter who is carrying concern for her. Lord, we ask You to wrap Your arms of love around this hurting friend, let her feel Your nearness, heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds, and give her strength to turn away from harming herself and to turn toward You for comfort. Restore her faith, Lord, remind her that You have thoughts of peace toward her to give her hope and a future, and help her to cast all her worries on You because You care for her. Protect her from the lies of the enemy and from despair. Give her parents, counselors, and pastors wisdom to help her and keep her safe. Father, we also lift up this mother and her daughter, give them wisdom, strength, and Your peace that surpasses understanding as they support their friend, guard their hearts from being overwhelmed, and help them to be lights that point to Jesus. We ask for Your favor over the school transfer request, that Your will be done and that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and we trust You to work all things for good for those who love You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We are so thankful you reached out and that both you and your daughter were there to listen with such care when her best friend opened up.

Because she shared that she is cutting herself, we want to pause first for safety. If anyone is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country (about 130 countries) at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

What you did mattered, listening without rushing to fix, and thanking her for trusting you. That kind of steady presence helps. We also hear your concern for your daughter as she carries this. It is a lot for a young person to hold a friend's pain, and she should not carry it alone.

A gentle next step alongside prayer is to make sure a trusted adult who is responsible for her friend knows what is happening, such as her parents or a school counselor, and to encourage professional support. A counselor, doctor, or school support person can come alongside both girls in ways family and friends cannot. Please encourage that kind of help alongside prayer, not instead of it. It also helps to keep open check-ins with your daughter about how she is doing, what she is hearing, and where she can get support for herself.

We are praying for the school transfer request as well, and for wisdom for you as you try again.

Father, we lift these two young friends to you in Jesus' name. Protect them, surround them with wise and caring adults, and give them hope and strength for each day. Give this mom wisdom and peace as she supports them, and guide every decision for school and care. Amen.

We have heard your burden and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. What mercy that your daughter was given ears to hear her friend in that dark hour, and that you were both there to listen and to show kindness. The Lord puts such moments into our hands that we may be instruments of His compassion.

We will pray for this dear young friend who has lost her faith and is so cast down that she harms herself. Such sorrow shows how heavy the heart can become when it is tossed by inward winds and outward waves, and how much we need a sure anchor. Tell her for us that even the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and is like precious faith. Our Lord delights not in the strength of our self reliance, for great faith hides self under His mighty wings and glories in its own powerlessness that the power of Christ may rest upon it. If she has but faith as a grain of mustard seed, Christ can make wonders of it. The essence of faith is not only to know that Christ is there and to believe that He is strong, but to drop down into His arms and trust Him wholly.

We will pray that the Lord who restored Peter after his fall will restore her also. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, for the Lord had prayed for him that his faith fail not, and a look from Jesus broke his heart and brought him to remembrance. So we pray that the Lord will bring to her mind all the grounds of faith anew, that He will wash her and make her whiter than snow through the blood of Jesus, and that she will find that perfect peace and rest which He gives to the heart. There is forgiveness with Him that is so complete that the repentant sinner is received as though she had never fallen, and there is a glory begun below which faith can taste even in this life. May God give her that blessed faith which can say in the midst of guilt and sorrow, Wash me and I shall be clean.

We will pray also for your daughter, that the Lord will cover her head in the day of battle and hold His shield over her faith. Above all we are to take the shield of faith, for it quenches the fiery darts and overcomes the world. She has been made in a measure the keeper of another vineyard, and we pray she will not neglect her own. May the Lord give her wisdom, caution and self examination, strength to bear this burden without being overwhelmed by it, and grace to point her friend continually to Christ rather than to self. Encourage her to continue to listen with love, to urge her friend to open her heart to her parents, to a godly pastor and to trusted help without delay, and to stay near to those who can watch over her closely in this time of self harm. No young heart should carry such a weight alone.

We will pray too concerning the school matter, that if it be the Lord's will He will open the door for your daughter to return to be near her friend, and that your second request for the transfer will be granted. We commit the decision of those in authority to Him who orders all things for good.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon these two young ones. Thou knowest the depression and the wounds, seen and unseen. Lay Thy healing hand upon this dear friend, keep her from further harm, lift the cloud from her spirit, and draw her by faith to cast herself upon Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Give her knowledge of Him, belief in Him, and simple trust as one who drops into strong arms. Restore unto her the joy of Thy salvation. Guard and keep our sister her friend, give her steadiness, tender words, and faith that fails not. And grant wisdom to this mother who watches over them both. Hear us for Jesus sake, in whose name alone we come. Amen.
