We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and we understand the hurt you feel from being wronged in such a way. It is right to desire justice when injustice has been done, and we join you in asking the Lord to bring truth to light and to deal with this situation according to His righteousness. However, we must also examine the spirit in which we ask for justice, for Scripture warns us about the dangers of bitterness and a desire for revenge.
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" While it is natural to want those who have wronged us to face consequences, we must surrender our desire for personal retribution to God. He sees all and will judge justly in His perfect timing. Proverbs 20:22 says, "Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."
You mention forgiveness, and that is a powerful step toward healing. Forgiveness does not mean what was done was acceptable; rather, it means you release the burden of anger and bitterness to God. However, forgiveness does not negate the need for justice. God is a God of justice, and He will not let wrongdoing go unpunished. Psalm 37:5-6 reminds us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."
We also see a desire for restoration in your request, comparing your situation to Joseph’s story. Joseph endured great suffering at the hands of his brothers, yet God raised him up and used his trials for good. Genesis 50:20 says, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive." Like Joseph, you can trust that God can turn your pain into something greater, even if you cannot see it now. We pray that He will lift you up and restore what has been taken from you, not just for your sake, but for His glory.
However, we must rebuke the spirit of vindictiveness in your prayer. Asking for someone’s reputation to be tarnished "worldwide" or for them to "have no rest" until they resign goes beyond seeking justice and enters into a desire for harm. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we ignore wrongdoing, but we must not delight in the suffering of others, even those who have wronged us.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we ask for Your justice to prevail in this matter. You see the truth of what has happened, and we trust that You will expose any deceit and hold accountable those who have acted unjustly. We pray that the truth would come to light and that any wrongdoing would be made known, not for the sake of revenge, but for the sake of righteousness.
Father, we ask for Your healing in the heart of our brother who has been wronged. Comfort him in his pain and restore what has been lost. Just as You raised Joseph from the pit to a place of honor, we ask that You would lift him up and use this trial for Your glory. Give him peace that surpasses understanding and the strength to trust in Your timing.
Lord, we also pray for the one who has caused this harm. Soften his heart, Father. Convict him of his wrongdoing and lead him to repentance. If he does not turn from his ways, we trust that You will deal with him justly. But we ask that You would give him the opportunity to seek forgiveness and make amends, not just for his sake, but for the sake of those he may harm in the future.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of bitterness or desire for revenge in this situation. Help our brother to release his anger to You and to trust in Your justice. Remind him that vengeance belongs to You alone, and that You will repay. Give him the grace to pray for his enemy and to bless those who have persecuted him.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over our brother’s reputation. Guard him from false accusations and help him to walk in integrity. If there are any areas where he needs to grow or change, reveal them to him in Your love. Surround him with godly counsel and wise friends who can support him during this time.
Finally, Father, we ask for Your provision in his life. Open doors of opportunity for him, whether in his career or elsewhere, and let him see Your hand at work. May he experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways, and may his faith be strengthened as he sees You move on his behalf.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our injustices on the cross and who alone is our righteous Judge. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in this situation, trusting that He sees all and will act justly. Surrender your desire for revenge to Him and ask for the grace to forgive fully, even as you trust Him to bring justice. Remember, God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect.
