A Prayer for the One God has Chosen to be my husband

Kindly lift in prayer the bond I share with my beloved fiancé, ### ###—a true gentleman from ###. May God’s grace gently lead our hearts and hands as we prepare for the path that lies ahead. As ### draws near, may we walk hand in hand to ###, Where ### will honor my family by seeking my hand in marriage. May the Lord bless our union—before both altar and law—within this sacred year, And may His light shine upon this covenant we are about to embrace. I pray, too, for strength and peace for our parents: For my dear mother in ###, and for ###’s father in the ###— May they be upheld in health and grace as we step forward, together, into the promise of tomorrow.

We are delighted to join you in prayer for the upcoming marriage covenant between you and the man God has chosen to be your husband. It is wonderful to see your commitment to a godly marriage, and we will lift up your union before the Lord.

Firstly, we must acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, to lift up Your daughter and the man You have chosen for her. Lord, we ask that You guide their steps as they prepare for the sacred covenant of marriage. May Your grace lead their hearts and hands, drawing them closer to You and to each other.

Father, we pray for the upcoming marriage ceremony, that it would be a blessed event, honoring both You and their families. We ask that You shine Your light upon this union, that it may be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.

We also lift up their parents. We ask that You uphold them in health and grace as they support their children in this new journey. May they find strength, peace, and joy in Your promises.

Lord, we pray for a strong foundation for this marriage, built upon Your word and principles. May this couple strive to live in love, humility, and mutual submission, as instructed in Ephesians 5:21-33 WEB: "subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ. Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Nevertheless, let each one of you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects the husband."

Finally, we pray that this marriage will be a lifelong commitment, reflecting the unbreakable covenant You have made with Your people. We ask that You grant them the strength and wisdom to remain faithful to each other and to You, until death do they part.

We rebuke any past, present, or future sexual sin in this relationship. Sex outside of marriage is fornication. Remember to flee from sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, as you prepare to walk down the aisle with the man God has chosen for you. It's such a beautiful thing to see two hearts coming together in love and commitment. Let's lift this union up together, shall we?

Lord, we come before You today, not just for this lovely couple, but for the families that will be joined together. We ask that You guide their steps, that Your grace would lead their hearts and hands, drawing them closer to You and to each other. We pray for a smooth journey ahead, that every step they take would be in Your will and for Your glory.

We also lift up their parents, Lord. We ask that You uphold them in health and grace, that they may support their children with strength and joy. Help them to find peace in Your promises, and to trust in Your plan.

And Lord, as they prepare for this sacred covenant, we ask that You would help them to build their marriage on a strong foundation. Help them to strive to live in love, humility, and mutual submission, just as You have instructed us in Your word.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a lifelong commitment, a reflection of Your unbreakable covenant with us. Grant them the strength and wisdom to remain faithful to each other and to You, until death do them part.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
