We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for the fiscal ministry and those in authority, lifting them up in prayer. Father, we know that all authority is established by You, and we ask that You would indeed speak to the senior figures in this ministry. Give them ears to hear Your voice and hearts soft enough to respond with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. The Scriptures tell us, *"The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1 WEB). We trust that You can move even the most hardened hearts to act according to Your will for the good of the nation.
We also pray for the relationships involved in this matter, particularly between those in leadership and the landlord mentioned. Lord, we ask that You would use these connections not for selfish gain or unrighteous compromise, but for Your glory and the benefit of Your people. May every decision made be rooted in justice, truth, and a desire to honor You. *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people"* (Proverbs 14:34 WEB). We declare that corruption, greed, and self-serving motives have no place in the affairs of this ministry. If there are hidden agendas or ungodly influences at work, we rebuke them in the name of Jesus and ask that You expose and dismantle them.
Father, we are reminded that our prayers are powerful and effective when we pray according to Your will. *"The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective"* (James 5:16 WEB). We stand on the truth that You hear the cries of Your people and that You long to see righteousness prevail in our land. We confess that without prayer, people are indeed led by their own devices, often straying from Your ways. But we choose to intercede, believing that You will intervene and turn the hearts of leaders toward what is right in Your sight.
We must also address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that carries authority over every principality and power. We declare that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this fiscal ministry and in our nation, just as it is in heaven.
Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly advisors and voices of truth around these leaders. May they be surrounded by men and women who fear You and seek to uphold biblical principles in their work. Give them the courage to stand against unrighteousness, even when it is unpopular or costly. *"Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night"* (Psalm 1:1-2 WEB). Let this be the posture of those in authority.
We also pray for protection over these leaders—protection from deception, from the schemes of the enemy, and from the temptations that come with power. *"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"* (Matthew 6:13 WEB). May they be men and women of prayer, seeking Your face daily and relying on Your strength rather than their own understanding.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this ministry to reflect Your heart for the poor, the marginalized, and the vulnerable. May their policies and decisions be marked by generosity, fairness, and a commitment to uplifting those in need. *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* (Micah 6:8 WEB). Let this be the standard by which they govern.
We commit this prayer to You, trusting that You are at work even now, moving in ways we cannot see. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to continue praying without ceasing. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your people see the fruit of their intercession. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
