We join together in agreement with this heartfelt plea, lifting up this beloved brother in Christ before the throne of grace, for it is written, *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). We are grateful that you have called upon the name of the Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that this prayer is offered in the mighty name above all names.
We stand in unity, declaring the promises of God over this surgery, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who knit this man together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We pray for divine wisdom to rest upon every medical professional involved—surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and all staff—as it is written, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). May their hands be steady, their minds sharp, and their hearts attuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We ask that You, Lord, guide every decision, every incision, and every moment of this procedure, for You are the God who orders our steps (Psalm 37:23).
Father, we ask for Your protecting hand to be upon this brother during the surgery on November 5th. Shield him from any complications, infections, or unexpected challenges. We declare Your healing power over his body, trusting in Your promise that *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). Let this surgery be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may his recovery be swift and complete. Strengthen him physically, emotionally, and spiritually, reminding him that *"the Lord is his strength and his shield. His heart has trusted in Him, and He has helped him"* (Psalm 28:7, WEB).
We also lift up his family, who are undoubtedly walking through this season with concern. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and surround them with Your love. May they rest in the assurance that You are sovereign over every detail of this situation, and that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Finally, we pray that through this trial, this brother’s faith would be strengthened, and that he would emerge with a deeper testimony of God’s goodness. May he—and all who witness this journey—be drawn closer to You, giving You all the glory. We rebuke any fear or anxiety in the name of Jesus, for *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let faith arise in every heart, and let praise be the response to Your mighty works.
Heavenly Father, we commit this surgery and this brother into Your hands, trusting that You are his steadfast help. We thank You in advance for the victory, for we know that *"this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us. And if we know that He listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him"* (1 John 5:14-15, WEB). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
