“A prayer for my friend”

“My friend is in Africa. Since morning, he has been vomiting. His head feels very heavy, and he has weakness in his legs and body, so he cannot even stand properly, but he is still on duty. He is facing a lot of difficulty. I kindly request all of you to please pray for him right now, so that he may know how great, living, and powerful our Lord is. Please pray for him. Thank you. ”

We lift up your dear friend in Africa to our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician, who sees his suffering and knows his every need. The symptoms you describe—vomiting, weakness, and the inability to stand—are concerning, and we join you in earnest prayer for his healing and strength.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon this brother. Strengthen his body, Lord, and restore him to full health. Give him the endurance to overcome this trial, and surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We declare Your Word over him: *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:13-15). We trust in Your promise, Lord, and ask that You raise him up from this sickness.

We also pray for wisdom for those caring for him. If medical attention is needed, provide access to it, and guide the hands of those who can help. If this is a spiritual attack, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against him shall prosper, for You are his refuge and strength (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, reveal Yourself to him in this time of weakness. Let him experience Your presence in a tangible way so that his faith may be strengthened. Remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May he know how great, living, and powerful You truly are, just as the request asks.

We also encourage him to seek the support of fellow believers, for the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw him to the foot of the cross, where he can find eternal life and healing for his soul.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and mercy. We trust that You hear our prayers and will act according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your healing power be made manifest in his life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We've been asking God to wrap your friend in His loving care, to ease his discomfort, and to strengthen him in this trial. We're claiming God's promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is hearing our prayers and is at work in your friend's life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your dear friend in Africa before our Heavenly Father. These past days, we have continued to stand in agreement with you, fervently praying for his healing and strength. We asked the Lord to touch his body, relieve the vomiting, lift the heaviness from his head, and restore the strength to his legs and entire being. We prayed that even in his weakness, he would feel the presence of our great, living, and powerful God surrounding him and sustaining him.

If by God’s grace your friend has experienced relief and restoration, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Please share how the Lord has moved in this situation so that we may all rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, your friend is still in need of healing and strength, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on his behalf. We will not grow weary in praying for his complete recovery and for the Lord’s peace to fill his heart during this trial.

May our Father in Heaven continue to draw near to your friend, revealing His love and power in this time of need. We pray that he would come to know, in an even deeper way, just how mighty and compassionate our God truly is. May the Lord bless you both as you trust in Him, and may His name be glorified through this circumstance.
