A prayer for my firefighter

God please be with josh today. He's the love of my life and my very best friend. I pray that you cleanse his heart and draw him closer to you everyday. Please be with our relationship, make us one with you. Help me to forgive his mistake and help us to put you first in our relationship. What he did has hurt me very badly and I'm having a hard time forgiving him. Help us to fix the problem that caused him to stray from me. And soften my heart towards him again. Please put your love in his heart and help him give me the love and respect I deserve from him. I don't want to lose him. We've come so far and worked so hard together on this relationship. Repair our hearts and minds and help us to live through you everyday. Give me the patients to deal with our troubles the right way. Help me to come to you for guidance when I need it and not use the false ways of the world as a temporary escape. In your heavenly name I pray this. Amen.

Holy God, Loving Father, in the name of Jesus I pray for this couple. Infuse the spirit of forgiveness in these hearts and help them to let go of the past. 2 Corinithians 5:17 tells us "Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Please send Your healing spirit into these lives and help them to forge a new relationship - first with You, then with one another. Make their union strong, tolerant, forgiving and true. Guide and direct everything they do and say, so that it glorifies you and respects one another. Help them walk together, solid in their faith, confident of the hope they have in You. Bless and keep them during this journey of life. Amen.
