A Prayer For Christmas Day!

Lord Jesus,

I pray and ask that you protect, comfort, and deliver my mother and I from all evil as we prepare for the Christmas holiday. Lord, you know firsthand the terrible things that certain family members have said and done the last few holidays. Lord, keep us from the evil one and the evil ones who are within our own family. Lord Jesus, we just want to prepare a nice meal for Christmas, and have fellowship and peace in celebrating God’s gift of you to the entire world. But, certain sociopathic and self-centered family members have to cause drama and chaos over frivolous things. They only worship themselves and their materialistic things, and not you. Lord, you know that I can’t wait for the holiday season to come and go because my mother and I cannot tolerate these wicked and evil people any longer. The holidays are becoming too stressful. People are becoming more rude, arrogant, and unthankful. Things are getting much worse. But, I pray and have faith that you will protect us, deliver us, and will strengthen us, and will give us true peace in these times of tribulation.

I give you and God all praise. Hallelujah to you and God forever more! I am thankful for all things and in everything that you and God have blessed and bestowed upon me.

In your name. I pray these things. And I also pray these things for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, who also may be in similar circumstances. Amen and amen!

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
