Beloved of All
Psalm 127
127 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
127:1, 2 God’s sovereignty is seen in 3 realms: 1) building a house, 2) protecting a city, and 3) earning a living. In all 3 instances, the sovereign intention of God
127:3–5 The same principle of God’s sovereignty applies to raising a family.
127:4, 5 As arrows are indispensable for a warrior to succeed in battle, so children are invaluable as defenders of their father and mother in time of war or litigation. The more such defenders
On him we must depend, For wealth, . For heirs to leave it to. In singing this psalm we must have our eye up unto God for success in all our undertakings and a blessing upon all our comforts and enjoyments, because every creature is that to us which he makes it to be and no more.
We must depend upon God’s blessing and not our own contrivance, it is to be understood of the making of a family considerable that was mean; men labour to do this by advantageous matches, offices, employments, purchases; but all in vain, unless God build up the family, and raise the poor out of the dust. The best-laid project fails unless God crown it with success. For the enriching of a family; this is a work of time and thought, but cannot be effected without the favour of Providence any more than that which is the product of one happy turn: “It is vain for you to rise up early and sit up late, and so to deny yourselves your bodily refreshments, in the eager pursuit of the wealth of the world.”
Lord God Almighty, my faith is in you, and I believe your will for us is your Living word, through Christ our Lord, and in His righteousness, we come to you, not of ourselves, but drawn by You., Thank you Father for loving us and reconciled us to you. Thank you for hearing our prayers, and Thank you for mercy, grace and compassion, we praise your mighty name.
Father, many families are under attack, if not all, from illness, divorce, idols, financial, some self made, some from outside, some from others, but Father we know this is demonic,we know family is important to you, we know our well being is important to you, we know we are forgiven, yet, the unholy one is crippling our spirit, our bodies, families and finances. According to scripture, all is in vain, unless built by you, unless crowned for success by you, unless raised up by you, for it is through You all things come, your Sovereign intention, your favor of Providence, humbled and in humility, we kneel before you, lifting one another up, confessing we are dependent on you and need your favor. As family of the Most High, your family, the body of Christ, we sing this Psalm unto Your Holy throne, pressing through with expectancy, and with songs,we praise you. In the powerful name of Christ our Lord, Amen and Amen
Praise God Halleluyah Bless you oh Lord sings our soul Halleluyah
