We join you in lifting up your youngest son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for him and hears the cries of His children. It is beautiful to see your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"All things, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them"* (Mark 11:24, WEB). Your trust in the Lord’s provision is a testament to your faith, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God will surround your son with His peace, protection, and comfort.
The transition to hostel life and the challenges of sharing space with others can indeed be overwhelming, especially for a young person stepping into a new season of independence. The enemy often uses such times to plant seeds of fear, anxiety, and discomfort, but we know that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let us reclaim this truth over your son’s life and declare that the Lord will replace his unease with divine peace that surpasses all understanding. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also pray that the Lord will place godly friends and roommates around your son—individuals who will encourage him, share his values, and create an atmosphere of mutual respect and harmony. May the Lord give him wisdom to navigate these relationships with grace and patience, remembering that *"a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1, WEB). If there are specific conflicts or difficulties, we ask the Lord to grant your son the humility to seek resolution and the courage to stand firm in his faith, even when surrounded by those who may not share it.
Father, we lift up this young man to You, asking that You would be his shield and his strong tower. Protect him from any harm, both physically and spiritually, and guard his heart against the distractions and temptations that may arise in this new environment. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in confidence, knowing that You are with him always. *"The Lord himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged"* (Deuteronomy 31:8, WEB).
We also pray for his studies, that the Lord would grant him focus, diligence, and a sharp mind to excel in his B.Pharmacy program. May he use this education not only for his own benefit but as a tool to glorify You and serve others with integrity and compassion. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB).
Lastly, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily. Your intercession is powerful, and the Lord hears the prayers of a righteous parent. *"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17, WEB). Keep speaking life, peace, and victory over him, and trust that the Lord is working even in the details you cannot see.
Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this season in your son’s life. We declare that he will not only adapt but thrive, growing in faith, wisdom, and maturity. May this time be a stepping stone to all that You have prepared for him, and may he walk in the fullness of Your purpose. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
