Hello all
It has been awhile since I have posted and I am so sorry, And God has been doing things in my life and it has been an amazing journey. To set the mood for this post I will share a little bit about what is happening in my life. In June my wife moved to a new state and decided to leave our girls with me until she got settled in. God was very clear to me that I had to move as well. And let me tell you I fought every step of the way. I could have stayed and kept our girls and stay in my parents house, but God persisted. Every reason for me to stay was selfish. I had a good job, but couldn't seem to get things going. After several confirmations from God that i need to go, He even supplied the finances for me to get here. To make a long story short I listened and moved and I have been thriving since the moment i hit ground. A new place, two jobs and a new car with no payments.
Now what is the point you ask, well maybe you arent asking but i am going to share anyway. When God asks us or tells us to do something, it is in our best interest to obey. He knows whats is best for us Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps . And Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Now I started thinking about Abraham when God spoke to him and told him to leave his family his land and go to where the Lord will show Him (Genesis 12:1). If Abraham had ignored that call then the bible would be extremely short. There would be no promise land for the Israelites to go to after being delivered from Egypt, Ruth would have starved in moab no king David and who knows what else could or wouldn't happen. I know our God would have found someone else if Abraham refused but still things would have been different.
Now I am in no way saying "Hey every one pack up and leave town" no I am saying each and everyone of us has something God wants us to do, and it may seem that its something we don't want to do. God is calling us to a new spiritual land inside us. A land that He will show us a land rich of His grace His love His blessings and joy. One thing comes to mind that God has called me to do spirutauly and that is to stand for my marriage no matter what I see. Trust me its hard, painful at times and down right lonely at times, but God has been my spouse I have learned to lean on Him and seek Him and Jesus is the best spouse ever.
I guess what i hope anyone takes from this is if we are affraid to do what God is asking us we need to lay our selfish desires to the side and walk straight to our Lord Jesus and say I am affraid however I trust you and will follow you. God will not fail He is unable to fail. All He is asking from us is to trust Him.
