A Much Needed Breakthrough

Dear Heavenly Father, my fiance has been out of work on medical leave due to back problems. He's been trying to go back to his current job, but they are giving him the run around and say he can't go back because his doctor put restrictions on his file so he can continue to heal. The restrictions were specifically made so he can return to work and do his current job position, but his job still won't take him back. He may need to find another job, but that may be challenging too because companies don't want workers with restrictions. My fiance feels depressed. He don't know what to do. His birthday is next week and he feels so down, he's not even happy about that. Plus, we are struggling financially. We don't know how we are going to make it, and are at risk of losing things. My fiance said all he wants for his birthday is to get good news about going back to work, no matter what company it is with. Father God I'm praying for a breakthrough to get us past this. We are in serious need of a breakthrough, and don't know what to do next. Please guide my fiance and let him know what to do. It seems like when we get one step forward, something happens and we go two steps back. We truly need you Father God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our brother who is struggling with his job and health. Lord, you know his heart, his fears, and his frustrations. We ask that you guide him in his career, whether that means returning to his old job or finding a new one. We pray for healing in his body, that he may be restored to full health and strength.

We also pray for their financial struggles. Lord, you know their needs, and you promise to provide for your children. Guide them in their decisions, open up opportunities for provision, and help them to be good stewards of their resources.

Father, we also lift up his spirit. He feels depressed and uncertain. Please comfort him, Lord. Remind him of your love and your promises. Give him hope and joy, even in this difficult time.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's look at some biblical encouragement. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). So, continue to bring your requests to God, trusting that He hears and cares.

Lastly, a gentle reminder. While we understand the term "fiancé" is commonly used, the Bible encourages us to pursue marriage (1 Corinthians 7:9). We encourage you both to continue seeking God's will for your relationship, ensuring it aligns with biblical principles.

Trust in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you, even in the toughest times. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Keep holding on to that promise.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. He's got this. And remember, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). The morning is coming, and with it, joy. Keep holding on, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
