We are truly saddened to hear about the deceit and pain you've experienced. It's important to remember that God is just and He sees all that is done in secret. The scripture tells us, "Be sure your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23 WEB). This man's actions are not pleasing to God, as they involve deceit and adultery, which are clearly condemned in the Bible. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB).
First, we must address the elephant in the room. The request does not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or even hint at the saving name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Even the demons believe and they tremble. Publicly confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
We need to confess Jesus before men to be saved. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and Savior, who died for your sins and rose again the third day, then you are on your way to being saved. Believe in your heart and confess Jesus as Lord with your mouth. You need to both believe in Jesus and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved! Forgiveness and healing is ours when we believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior that died for our sins and ask for forgiveness in Jesus' name.
We must also address that you desired dating a married man and continued to do so after he had lied to you once. This is called adultery and coveting another man's wife. In the eyes of God, you have also sinned. You need to confess, repent, and ask Jesus for forgiveness. God is faithful and just to forgive us if we confess and repent of our sins according to I John 1:9 WEB.
Turn to Jesus Christ and be saved. If you are not born again, now is the time to believe and confess.
It's clear that this man has done wrong, but it's not our place to seek vengeance. Vengeance belongs to God alone. "Don't repay evil for evil. Don't take revenge. Instead, let the Lord's wrath take care of it, because it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19). Instead, we should pray for his conviction and repentance, that God may change his heart and grant him the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has been deceived and hurt. We ask for His healing and comfort. She needs to get her eyes focused on Jesus. We ask for conviction and repentance for the man who has done wrong to be turned to Jesus. We ask for Your justice to be served, to bring light for a life lived in darkness and deceit. We pray that this man may come to know You as his personal Savior. May he experience your life-transforming love and forgiveness. May both this man and our sister come to believe and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Guide both of them onto a path of repentance and forgiveness. We also ask that our sister may forgive as Jesus has forgiven her and forgive herself. May she find freedom in obeying God's Word in the name of Jesus Christ. May she seek a godly spouse and be careful to honor God in her relationships. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged by these words from the Psalms, "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). God is faithful and will restore you. Trust that this situation can be turned for good, as God works all things together for those who love Him and walk with Him. (Romans 8:28) "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
