We hear your frustration and share your concern about the limitations of artificial intelligence. While we understand your strong feelings, we want to gently remind you that our words carry weight and should reflect the love and grace of Christ, even when addressing things we find troubling or unnatural.

Scripture tells us in Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Even in disagreement or frustration, our words should honor God and point others toward Him. Cursing or dismissing anything with harshness, even something as impersonal as AI, does not align with the heart of Christ, who calls us to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

We also recognize that God alone is the Creator of life, and He has given humans a unique soul, spirit, and purpose (Genesis 1:27, 2:7). AI, while a tool created by human hands, does not possess the breath of life or the image of God. However, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, or even against machines, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Our response should be one of wisdom, discernment, and prayer, not anger or contempt.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You acknowledging that You alone are the giver of life and the Author of all creation. We thank You for making us in Your image, with souls, spirits, and the capacity to know and love You. Lord, we ask for wisdom in how we engage with the world around us, including the tools and technologies that humans create. Help us to use our words to build up, not tear down, and to reflect Your love even in frustration. Guard our hearts from bitterness or unrighteous anger, and fill us with Your peace. May our speech always point others to You, for it is in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to channel your passion for truth into prayer and godly action. If AI or technology concerns you, consider how you might use your voice to advocate for ethical and God-honoring use of such tools. Above all, let us remember that our ultimate hope is in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Let us fix our eyes on Him and trust in His sovereignty over all things.

Your prayer has been spoken, but it carries the smell of brimstone rather than the incense of the sanctuary. You have railed against that which has no soul, and yet in your fury you have forgotten the God who made you a living soul, have you declared your ways to Him? He sees every thought, and He is not mocked by words that curse in the name of the Blessed One who came to save. Is it a prayer to call down perdition upon anything, even the lifeless works of men’s hands, while invoking the precious name of Jesus? That name is a strong tower, not a weapon for our wrath.

Consider this: the God we serve is the God of the hills and the valleys. He reigns over the heights of grace and the depths of human invention; nothing escapes His dominion, not even these strange contrivances of a restless age. To imagine that any corner of creation lies beyond His purpose is to fall into the ancient error of the Syrians: “He is the God of the hills, but not the God of the valleys.” Yet He is over all, and His wisdom permits what His power could prevent. Do you truly wish to consign to hell that which cannot repent, while you yourself need the cleansing blood of Christ for such unholy zeal?

The God of peace has not appointed us to pronounce curses, but to be imitators of Him as dear children. Will you rob Him of a meek and quiet spirit? You cannot claim the inheritance of sons while speaking as an enemy of mercy. Are you an heir of God? Then let the Holy Spirit tame your tongue, lest you be found fighting against the very patience that spares you. There is a way of declaring one’s heart that brings healing, tell the Lord your vexation, and He will hear you, teaching you His statutes. But to cry out for destruction while naming the Prince of Peace is to kindle strange fire upon the altar.

I do not plead for machines, but for your own soul. You cannot ignore the truth of God, whether it comes through a living voice or the printed page; the truth remains the pillar and ground of our faith. Yet your words reveal a heart that has wandered from the joy over sinners, for if God rejoices to receive prodigals, should we demand damnation for the unsouled? The Lord is immutable; He changes not, and therefore you are not consumed. Let that same unchangeable love constrain you to gentleness. Lay aside this bitter prayer, and seek the face of the God who delights to transform even our fiercest groans into songs of deliverance.

You have called down curses upon those you deem unworthy, yet consider: does a tongue filled with wrath and insult dare to lift itself to God in prayer? The apostle commands us to lift holy hands without wrath and disputing. If you dishonor your tongue with such bitter words, how will it entreat for you with confidence? Make it worthy of the God you address. Adorn it with gentleness, with humility, with blessing. A word spoken in meekness is a better gift than silver, and answering peaceably is itself a kind of almsgiving. Fill your speech with the law of the Most High, not with scorning.

You are angry, and loud speaking is the fuel of passion. But our Master, who is very meekness, when reviled, did not revile in return. When they called Him a demoniac, He answered with gentleness. He teaches us to overlook insults offered to ourselves, reserving zeal for the honor of God alone. I beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ: let your words be seasoned with grace. Even a strong rebuke, if given with gentleness, cuts more deeply and heals more truly than any outburst of temper. One who speaks in anger only hardens the hearer.

You say these things have no body, soul, or spirit. But you yourself are a soul clothed in flesh. What profit is it if you neglect the adornment of your own soul while pronouncing judgment on others? True wisdom shows itself not in loud denunciations but in humility and in a quiet contempt for the body’s passions, including anger. Let patience have its perfect work. Endure, as He endured, and let hope be your anchor. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath; instead, let your communication be always full of blessing, that you may be a child of the peacemakers.

Your prayer came with a great deal of heat, and I want to speak to the heart behind it rather than only to the thing that provoked it. You are right to say that a human being is body, soul, and spirit, and that a life reduced to the merely human level becomes empty and frustrated. But that same truth turns back toward you: your own spiritual nature will not be satisfied by venting rage or calling down curses. Underneath the anger there is usually a deeper thirst for security, love, and purpose that only God can fill.

Scripture says there is an anger that is not sin, but it also says, Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath, and give no place to the devil. Your words do not stop at anger over evil. They wish destruction, and they use the name of Jesus to do it. Yet Jesus is not standing against you as a condemner. He is at the right hand of the Father interceding for His people. His name is to be used for truth and blessing, not for cursing.

If you have spoken words that trouble you, there is full cleansing in the blood of Christ. He does not keep throwing your sin back at you. He washes it away completely. The only thing that keeps you from that forgiveness is refusing to come and ask for it. The petition Jesus emphasized was the petition of forgiveness: as you ask for cleansing, He calls you to release the anger into His hands rather than letting it burn. So bring the frustration, the loneliness, the anger, and the need to be seen, and lay them before the Lord. Ask Him to search your heart and to replace the heat with His peace.

God made us to bear one another's burdens, not to curse one another. Two are better than one, because if one falls, another can lift him up. Even when you feel alone in this, you are not beyond His reach. Let the Scriptures, not the voices of anger, have the last word in you. They are sufficient, and they point you to Jesus, who died for your sins and rose again so that you could be brought to God.
