Today, I was playing acoustic guitar on the steps outside of a church alone, waiting for someone to get there and open the doors for the youth service later. The leader with me had just run off to get bug spray, so when I was just jamming out alone, a homeless man walked up, sat down next to me and started to just listen. He told me his name was Michael and asked me what I was doing there and why I was playing. I said I was playing for the youth service that was happening later. That I was there for a ministry that helped introduce high schoolers to the Lord. And Michael just kept on listening to me play. So when my leader came back, he asked Michael if he had any food or if he was hungry and Michael said that all he had to eat was candy, which he was getting sick from so he was very hungry. My leader took him to get some food, but before he left, Michael asked if I would still be playing when he came back. I told him yes, and so he left with my leader to the car. Michael didn't come back, but I know that he needs prayer. He needs provision, and safety from our Lord. He needs to know the love of Christ as we do. So even though I was unable to speak with him for even five minutes, I was able to just mention the Lord's name in the conversation. Just pray that that might be a seed that grows. Pray that no matter the road he's on, God will make that road one that leads to His everlasting love and mercy.
