We join you in your request and we pray together.
Father, we ask you to bless this day for your child. In the name of Jesus, we pray that today will be a good day, filled with your peace and joy. We ask for healing and comfort, that any pain will be eased and managed. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest," says Jesus. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:28-29 WEB). We pray that your child will be free from stress and anxiety, and that they will experience your perfect peace, casting all their anxiety on you because you care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We pray for good health and we ask that you, Father, will guide your child's steps and keep them safe throughout the day. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We ask, Father, that if it is your will, that you will keep any scary pain away and that any storms in life will not overwhelm your child. That you will help them walk through any storms with you by their side.
Father, we pray that you will fill your child with a calm spirit. "Do not be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. It is only by his name that we have access to God. As we read in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Father, we thank you for your love and mercy. We trust in your will and in your plan for your child's life. We pray that they will grow stronger in their faith and walk with you. Together we pray these things.
