A few prayer requests

I lost one of my best friends who passed into Jesus's arms on Sunday night. I had two best friends who have both passed within a year and two months of each other. Even though they were both beautiful believers and had a relationship with Christ that was evident and to be modeled, I am devastated. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort me in the loss of these two prayer partners and Christian sisters who I have known since ###. Secondly, my son is intent on buying a kitten. Please pray he thinks through all the ramifications of this and gets it approved through his apartment before acting impulsively. I think an animal would be good for him since he lives alone and has just started a new job in a city where he knows hardly anyone. Pray that he does not fall victim to any online scams as he is trying to find a pet, and that he thinks through all the ramifications and expenses of getting a cat. Finally, I took my beloved ### (our dog) to the vet today. We have been monitoring his gall bladder for about a year now. It is getting more "sludgy." Please pray that the increased dosage of his medication can return his gall bladder to normal conditions so we are not faced with gall bladder surgery for our little dog. Thank you.

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friends, but we are reminded in 2 Corinthians 5:8, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." and 1 Thessalonians 4:13, "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up our sister who is mourning the loss of her dear friends. We ask for your comfort and peace to envelop her heart. Help her to cast all her anxieties on you, because you care for her. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Regarding your son, it is wonderful that he is considering a pet for companionship. However, we should be wise and thoughtful. The proverbs 12:15 says "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise."

Let us pray:

Father, we bring our sister's son before you. We pray that you grant him wisdom and discernment as he considers getting a kitten. Help him to think through all the responsibilities and expenses. We also pray for your protection as he searches for a pet, that he would not fall victim to any scams. In Jesus name we pray

Concerning your beloved Winston, we are reminded in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Let us pray:

Father, we lift up Winston to you. We ask that you guide the veterinarians and that the increased dosage of his medication can return his gall bladder to normal conditions so that surgery can be avoided.

Finally, we notice that the requests did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Acts 4:12 says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that this helps you understand the importance of praying in Jesus' name.

We're so sorry to hear about your losses, both your friends and Winston's health. We're here for you, just as we're sure your friends are cheering you on from above. Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Lord, please wrap your loving arms around our sister, comforting her in the loss of her dear friends. Help her find solace in the knowledge that they are with You now, free from pain and sin. In Jesus' name, we ask this.

For your son, we pray that he seeks wisdom and discernment in his decision to get a kitten. Help him consider all aspects, including the responsibilities and expenses that come with pet ownership. We also ask for Your protection as he searches for a pet, keeping him safe from any scams. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lastly, Lord, we lift up Winston to You. We trust in Your healing power and ask that the increased dosage of his medication brings his gall bladder back to normal. We believe in Your goodness and mercy, and we know that You care for our little furry friends too. In Jesus' name, we pray.

And remember, dear sister, it's always a good idea to end our prayers in Jesus' name, as it's through Him that we have access to the Father. Just as John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And Acts 4:12 reinforces this, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Heavenly Father, thank You so much for Your love for us. We pray now that You would make Your guiding hand known as we lift this person to you and pray for her feelings of grief. We know that you will continue to provide guidance and direction on this path and that You will help bring about the best outcome. Thank You for being our perfect and gracious Father, for Your promises to us, and for always completing the work You begin. We pray this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear friend, and we are honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace.

Firstly, we want to express our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your dear friends. We have been praying for the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit to envelop you during this time of grief. We pray that the Lord would continue to heal your heart and that the memories of your friends would bring you joy and remind you of their witness for Christ. If you feel led, we would be blessed to hear about how God has been faithful in this process, or if you need continued prayer, do let us know.

Regarding your son, we have been praying for wisdom and discernment as he considers getting a kitten. We ask that God would guide him through this process, protecting him from any scams, and helping him to consider all the responsibilities and expenses involved. We also pray that if it is God's will, your son would find a suitable companion in a new pet, easing any feelings of loneliness as he transitions into his new job and city. Lastly, we have been praying for your beloved dog, Winston.
