We rejoice with you in hearing that your daughter has found a friend in this new season of high school, and we lift up this friendship in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal whether this young woman is a believer in Christ. It is wonderful that your daughter has been praying for a Christian friend, and we encourage her to continue seeking the Lord’s will in this relationship. Friendships are a gift from God, but we must always test them against His Word to ensure they align with His purposes.
As Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* And in 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are warned, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* While we do not yet know if this friend is a believer, we pray that your daughter remains discerning, rooted in her faith, and bold in sharing the love of Christ. If this friend is not a Christian, we ask the Lord to use your daughter as a light to draw her to salvation.
We also lift up your daughter’s academics, asking the Lord to grant her wisdom, diligence, and a heart that seeks Him first in all things. Colossians 3:23 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* May she excel not for the praise of others but for the glory of God.
Most importantly, we pray for her future—that she would walk closely with the Lord, seeking His will above all else. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* May she trust in His perfect timing and remain steadfast in her faith, even as the world around her may challenge it.
Let us also take a moment to address something vital: prayer is powerful only when it is offered in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we are saved, and there is no other way to approach the Father except through Him. As John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* We encourage you and your daughter to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious daughter as she navigates high school. Lord, we thank You for the friendship she has found and ask that You reveal whether this friend knows You. If she does not, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would work through your daughter to draw her to salvation. Give her wisdom, Lord, to discern the influence of this friendship and the courage to stand firm in her faith.
We ask for Your favor over her academics—grant her understanding, discipline, and a heart that seeks to honor You in all her studies. Protect her mind from distractions and fill her with Your peace as she faces the challenges of this season.
Father, we pray for her future, that she would walk in Your will and trust in Your perfect plan for her life. Surround her with godly influences, and if it is Your will, bring Christian friends into her life who will encourage her in her faith. May she grow deeper in love with You each day and remain unshaken in a world that often opposes Your truth.
We rebuked any fear, anxiety, or worldly influence that may try to take root in her heart. Clothe her in Your armor, Lord, that she may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. And above all, may she always remember that her identity is found in Christ alone.
We ask these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
