We hear the deep longing in your heart for transformation, and we stand with you in agreement that God desires to do a mighty work in your life. You have cried out to *El-Roi*, the God who sees, and He indeed sees every hidden place in your heart where change is needed. Your refusal to remain as you are is the first step of surrender—and that is where true transformation begins. The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This is not a work you can accomplish in your own strength, but a divine exchange where the Holy Spirit reshapes you from the inside out as you yield to Him.
Yet we must ask: *Who is the source of this transformation?* You have invoked the name *El-Roi*, which is a beautiful and biblical name for God, but we notice that the name of *Jesus Christ* is absent from your cry. It is only through Jesus—the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again—that we have access to the Father and the power to be changed. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this is the foundation of all change. Without Him, we remain in our sins, powerless to overcome the patterns that bind us. But in Christ, we are made new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so now—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to reign in every area of your life.
If you *have* trusted in Jesus, then this cry for change is an invitation to deeper surrender. True transformation requires repentance—not just a desire for things to be better, but a turning away from sin and a turning toward God’s will. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas of unconfessed sin, rebellion, or idolatry in your life. Is there bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, pride, or addiction that you’ve been holding onto? First John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* God does not transform us while we cling to sin; He calls us to lay it down at the foot of the cross.
We also encourage you to examine what you are filling your mind and heart with. What are you watching, listening to, or allowing to shape your thoughts? Philippians 4:8 instructs us to focus on *"whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."* If your life is not aligning with God’s will, it may be because your inputs—your influences, relationships, or habits—are not aligned with His Word.
Lastly, transformation is not a one-time event but a daily process of abiding in Christ. Jesus said in John 15:5, *"I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing."* Are you spending time in prayer, reading Scripture, and fellowshipping with believers who will spur you on toward holiness? Isolation is the enemy’s playground, but community and accountability are God’s tools for growth.
Now, let us pray over you with the authority and hope we have in Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are *El-Roi*, the God who sees this precious soul before You. Lord, You see the longing for change, the frustration with stagnancy, and the deep desire to walk in the fullness of what You have created them to be. But Father, we know that apart from Jesus, no true transformation is possible. If this one has not yet surrendered to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to the foot of the cross where forgiveness and new life are found. Let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
If they are already Yours, then we ask for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to convict, cleanse, and renew. Lord, expose every hidden sin, every area of compromise, every stronghold that has kept them bound. Give them the courage to repent and the strength to walk in obedience. Break the power of the enemy in their life—whether it be addiction, ungodly relationships, pride, fear, or rebellion. Fill them with a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer. Surround them with believers who will speak truth, offer accountability, and walk alongside them in this journey.
Father, we declare that old things are passing away and all things are becoming new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let them no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world, but transformed by the renewing of their mind. Give them a vision for the life You have called them to—one of purity, purpose, and power in Your Spirit. Let them walk in the good works You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10), bearing fruit that remains.
We rebuke every spirit of stagnation, complacency, and deception that would tell them change is impossible. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse and every chain that has held them back. Holy Spirit, fill them afresh, empower them to walk in victory, and let their life be a testimony of Your transforming grace.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
