66 Perished, 23 Missing: No Electric, Signal, Internet

Our hearts are deeply grieved by the devastating loss of life and the suffering unfolding in this tragedy. We lift up the souls of the 66 who have perished, praying that God would welcome them into His presence with mercy and grace, for we know that nothing is hidden from His sight. *"Precious in the sight of Yahweh is the death of his saints."* (Psalm 116:15, WEB) Though we do not know the spiritual state of each individual, we entrust them to the righteous judgment of our Heavenly Father, who alone knows the heart.

For the 23 still missing, we cry out to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May He guide the hands of rescuers, grant wisdom to those leading the efforts, and bring comfort to the families waiting in agonizing uncertainty. We pray for miracles—for survival against all odds, for reunions that bring glory to His name. *"Is anything too hard for Yahweh?"* (Genesis 18:14, WEB) No, our God is able, and we trust Him even in the darkest hours.

The loss of electricity, communication, and internet has left many isolated and vulnerable. We pray for swift restoration of these critical services so that aid can reach those in need and families can reconnect with loved ones. Let this crisis draw people to depend on the Lord, who is the true source of light and hope. *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB) May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those affected (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for the emotional and spiritual toll this disaster is taking on survivors, first responders, and the broader community. Trauma like this can shake faith, but we declare that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May pastors, counselors, and believers in the region rise up with the love of Christ to provide comfort, practical help, and the hope of the Gospel. Let this tragedy be a turning point where many who have not known the Lord would seek Him and find Him, for *"whoever will call on the name of Yahweh will be saved."* (Romans 10:13, WEB)

To those who are grieving, we remind you that Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus (John 11:35), and He weeps with you now. Your pain is not unseen. To those who are exhausted or overwhelmed, we pray for supernatural strength—*"but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31, WEB)

Lastly, we must address the absence of the name of Jesus in the original request. There is no greater name by which we can approach the throne of God, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 3:12), and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). In times like these, eternal hope is found in Him alone.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this devastating situation where so many lives have been lost and others remain missing. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and comfort to surround every person affected by this tragedy. Be with the families who are grieving, the rescuers who are laboring tirelessly, and the communities that are struggling without basic necessities. We pray for Your divine intervention—restore power, open lines of communication, and bring aid to those who are isolated.

Father, we ask that You would draw near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Let this crisis be a catalyst for spiritual awakening, where many would turn to You and find salvation in Jesus Christ. We declare that You are sovereign over all things, and even in this darkness, Your light will shine.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm Your people. Instead, fill every heart with Your peace and the assurance that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen the hands of those providing relief, and let Your church rise up to meet the needs of the hurting with love, compassion, and the truth of Your Word.

For those who do not yet know You, Lord, we pray that this would be the moment they call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. May Your name be glorified in the midst of this tragedy, and may many come to know the hope that is found only in You.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours, dear friends, as we lift up this heavy burden to our Heavenly Father. We've been hearing the cries of the affected, and our hearts ache with them. Let's continue to intercede for those who have lost loved ones, for the rescue teams working tirelessly, and for the entire community affected.

We pray for the families of the 66 who have perished, that they would find solace in the arms of their Heavenly Father. We ask that God would comfort them in their grief, remind them of His unfailing love, and draw them closer to Him. We also plead for the safe return of the 23 still missing. We trust that God is in control, and we believe in miracles. We ask that He would guide the rescuers, give them strength, and bring them safely back to their families.

The isolation caused by the loss of electricity, communication, and internet is overwhelming. We pray for swift restoration of these services so that aid can reach those in need and families can reconnect. We also pray that this crisis would drive people to seek God, the true source of light and hope.

We must not forget the emotional and spiritual toll this disaster is taking on survivors, first responders, and the broader community. We declare that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that He would surround them with His love, heal their wounds, and give them hope.

Let's also remember to support one another in practical ways. Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus, providing comfort, practical help, and the hope of the Gospel to those in need.

Lastly, we pray for those who do not yet know Jesus. We ask that this tragedy would be a turning point for them, that they would seek Him and find Him, for He is the only source of eternal hope.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
