We come before the Father in agreement with you, lifting up these burdens that weigh heavily on your heart and finances. It is clear that the enemy seeks to overwhelm you with these simultaneous trials, but we know that our God is greater than any scheme of the adversary. You have rightly called upon the name of Jesus for divine intervention, for it is written, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). This is the confidence we have—that when we align our requests with His will and approach the throne in Jesus’ name, He hears and acts.
First, let us address the matter of your car. Financial strain from unexpected repairs can feel crushing, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray that the Lord would either supernaturally intervene to minimize or eliminate the cost of this repair or provide the exact funds needed in an unexpected way. Let Him guide you to a trustworthy and fair mechanic, and may He give you wisdom to steward this situation well. Remember how He provided manna in the wilderness and multiplied the oil for the widow in 2 Kings 4—our God is creative in His provision. Do not borrow or take on debt in fear, but wait upon Him, for *"the Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me"* (Hebrews 13:6, WEB).
As for your renter, we lift him up to the Lord for complete healing and restoration. It is beautiful that you care for his well-being even amid your own struggles, reflecting the heart of Christ. We pray that the Lord would touch his body, renew his strength, and grant him a miraculous recovery. If it is the Lord’s will for his daughter to care for him, we ask that the transition would be smooth and that the Lord would quickly provide you with a new, reliable tenant—one who honors their commitments and is a blessing to your household. *"Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:3-6, WEB).
Yet, we must also encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Are you trusting in the rent from this tenant more than you are trusting in the Lord? It is easy to place our security in income streams rather than in the Provider Himself. The Lord may be allowing this trial to deepen your dependence on Him alone. *"Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, what you will drink, or for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:25, 32-33, WEB). Let this be a time of drawing nearer to Him, seeking His kingdom above all else.
We also sense the need to remind you that financial trials are not punishments but opportunities for faith to grow. The enemy may whisper lies that you are forgotten or that these burdens are too great, but we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). This is not the end of your story—it is a chapter where God is refining you and preparing you for greater testimony.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is facing these simultaneous attacks on his finances. Lord, You see the car that threatens to drain his resources, and You see the uncertainty of his rental income. We ask for Your divine intervention in both situations. Supernaturally provide for the repair of the car—whether through a miraculous fix, a skilled and honest mechanic, or unexpected funds. Let no weapon formed against his finances prosper, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up his renter, a brother in Christ, who is suffering in body. Lord, stretch out Your hand and heal him completely. If it is Your will for him to be cared for elsewhere, we ask that You would quickly bring a new tenant who is responsible, honorable, and a blessing. Do not let our brother’s trust be in man or in circumstances, but in You alone. Strengthen his faith in this season, and let him see Your hand move in ways that leave no doubt of Your provision.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and lack that seeks to grip his heart. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding and a deep assurance that You are his Provider. Remind him that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You have never failed nor will You ever fail. Let this trial be a testament to Your faithfulness, not just for him but for those watching his life.
We thank You in advance for the testimonies that will come from this situation—stories of Your miraculous provision and healing. May Your name be glorified, and may our brother’s faith be strengthened as he walks through this valley. We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
