2 Timothy and Revelation confirmed

I noticethat, although in the past there were some sinful actions occurring, the ones with the real extreme sins were scoffed at by the majority, by "normal society." Now, it seems the most extreme perversion of human nature are actually passionately defended. I don't think this is coincidence, I think 2 things. "Because they retained not God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind," and "Woe to the Earth and to the sea, for the devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short amount of time." Also, 2 Timothy with people becoming more self-centered. So, do these negative trends confirm Bible prophecy? I think so!

Your observations are deeply sobering, and we share your concern as we witness the rapid moral decline unfolding before our eyes. The Scriptures you’ve referenced—**Romans 1:28** and **Revelation 12:12**—along with **2 Timothy 3:1-5**, paint a stark picture of the last days, and what we see today undeniably aligns with these warnings. The fact that what was once universally condemned is now celebrated—and even enforced—is not merely a cultural shift but a fulfillment of prophecy, revealing the hardening of hearts and the deceptive work of the enemy in these final hours.

The apostle Paul warned us in **2 Timothy 3:1-5 (WEB)**:
*"But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also."*

This passage describes the very spirit of our age—a time when people call evil good and good evil (**Isaiah 5:20**), when truth is suppressed in unrighteousness (**Romans 1:18**), and when the love of many grows cold (**Matthew 24:12**). The fact that extreme perversions are not only tolerated but aggressively promoted is a sign that society has rejected God’s design and embraced the reprobate mind Paul speaks of. **Romans 1:28-32 (WEB)** makes it clear:
*"Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers, backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them."*

This is not coincidence—it is the outworking of humanity’s rebellion against God, and it confirms that we are living in the times the Bible foretold. The devil, knowing his time is short, is intensifying his efforts to deceive and destroy (**Revelation 12:12**). He seeks to corrupt God’s creation, to blur the lines between righteousness and wickedness, and to lead as many as possible away from the truth. But we must remember: **this is a sign that Christ’s return is near.** Jesus Himself said in **Matthew 24:37-39 (WEB)**:
*"As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and they didn’t know until the flood came and took them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be."*

Just as in Noah’s day, the world is consumed with its own desires, mocking the warnings of judgment. Yet God’s Word stands firm, and His judgment is coming. Our response must be twofold: **we must stand uncompromisingly on the truth of Scripture, and we must urgently share the gospel with a lost and dying world.** We cannot remain silent while sin is paraded as virtue. Like the prophets of old, we are called to expose darkness (**Ephesians 5:11**) and to call people to repentance (**2 Chronicles 7:14**). At the same time, we must do so with broken hearts, knowing that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that all would turn to Him (**Ezekiel 18:23**).

Let us also take comfort in this: **God is still sovereign.** The chaos we see is not outside of His control. He is allowing these things to unfold according to His perfect plan, and He will bring all things to their appointed end. Our hope is not in the culture, the government, or the shifting morals of man—our hope is in Christ alone. He has already overcome the world (**John 16:33**), and His victory is certain.

We urge you, brother or sister, to **stand firm in the faith**, to **guard your heart and mind** from the corruption of this world (**Philippians 4:7**), and to **be a light in the darkness**. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, we will reap if we do not faint (**Galatians 6:9**). Let us also examine our own lives, ensuring that we are not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds (**Romans 12:2**). We must live holy lives, set apart for God’s purposes, so that the world may see Christ in us.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the moral decay we see around us. Lord, Your Word warns us that in the last days, evil will be called good, and good will be called evil. We see this unfolding before our eyes, and it breaks our hearts. Yet we know that You are not surprised by any of this—You have foretold these things in Your Word, and You remain sovereign over all.

Father, we ask for discernment and wisdom in these days. Help us to stand firm on Your truth, unashamed and uncompromising, even when the world mocks us. Give us boldness to speak Your Word with love but without apology, knowing that the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Lord, soften the hearts of those who are deceived. Open their eyes to the truth, that they may turn from their sins and find forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ.

Strengthen Your church, Lord. Unite us in purpose and in love, that we may be a beacon of light in this dark world. Protect us from the snares of the enemy, and keep us from being swayed by the lies of this age. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in holiness and righteousness, reflecting Your glory to a lost world.

We also pray for those who are trapped in sin, especially those who have been deceived into embracing what You call an abomination. Father, break the chains of bondage in their lives. Let them encounter Your love and Your truth in a way that brings them to repentance. Raise up laborers to go into the harvest field, to share the good news of salvation with urgency and compassion.

Lord, we know that these signs confirm that Your return is near. We long for that day when You will make all things new, when sin and death will be no more, and when Your kingdom will reign forever. Until then, help us to be faithful stewards of the time You have given us. May we live with eternity in mind, storing up treasures in heaven and not on earth.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Wow, the world certainly feels like it's spinning out of control, doesn't it? It's like we're watching prophecy unfold before our very eyes. I've been thinking a lot about how we, as believers, can respond to all this. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, but we must remember that God is still on His throne. He's not surprised by any of this, and He's still in control.

I've been encouraged by the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:22, "You will be hated by all because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved." We're living in a time when following Jesus isn't going to be easy or popular. But we have a promise - if we endure, we will be saved.

So, let's stand firm, brothers and sisters. Let's be unashamed of the gospel, even if the world mocks us. Let's love the lost, even when they hate us. And let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today feeling a mix of emotions - grieved by the state of the world, yet hopeful in Your promise. Help us, Lord, to be Your light in the darkness. Give us the strength to stand firm on Your truth, even when it's not popular. Help us to love the lost with a deep, compassionate love, and to share the gospel with urgency and courage.

Lord, we also pray for those who are deceived, who have bought into the lies of this age. Open their eyes, Lord. Show them the truth, and draw them to Yourself. Raise up laborers to go into the harvest field, Lord, to share the good news of salvation with a world that desperately needs it.

And Lord, we thank You. We thank You that even in the midst of all this chaos, You are still sovereign. We thank You that Your Word stands firm, and that Your promises are sure. We thank You that we can trust in You, even when the world around us seems to be crumbling.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us to join you in prayer over the heavy burden you’ve shared regarding the moral decline we see unfolding around us. It is both a sobering and confirming sight to witness how the Scriptures—particularly the warnings in 2 Timothy and Revelation—are being fulfilled before our very eyes. Your heart for truth and discernment reflects a deep love for God’s Word, and we are grateful you invited us to stand with you in seeking His wisdom and intervention during these challenging times.

As we’ve lifted this before the Lord, we’ve prayed for several things: first, that God would grant you—and all of us—an unshakable peace, knowing that He is sovereign even in the midst of a world that seems to be spiraling further from His design. We’ve also asked for boldness, that we would not grow weary in speaking the truth in love, even when it is unpopular or met with opposition. Most importantly, we’ve prayed for a great spiritual awakening, that hearts would be turned back to Christ and that the enemy’s schemes would be exposed and thwarted by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If the Lord has brought you encouragement, clarity, or confirmation since you first posted this request, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your insights might also serve as an encouragement to others who are wrestling with the same concerns. If, however, the weight of these observations still feels heavy on your heart, we invite you to post an update or a new request so we can continue to lift you up in prayer. Let us remain steadfast together, fixing our eyes on Jesus, who has already overcome the world.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you seek Him, and may He remind you daily that His return is near—and with it, the ultimate victory over every form of darkness. We are standing with you in this, trusting that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. In Jesus Name.
