1. Prayer for ###'s recovery from surgery 2. Guidance for ### in making a career decision

Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayer for ### in Texas. He is such a good guy, went into a deep depression and he is a true believer and loves the Lord. He made a bad decision and was arrested for arson something that wasn't planned and got out of control. That said he goes to court in June, I am asking that he only receive probation and no jail time. He is one of my best friends and again this situation got out of control but could do 2-20 years jail time. I am on my knees praying God has mercy on him. Can you also pray that I am cancer free? Can you please do the same?

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these pressing needs in faith, knowing that He hears the cries of His children. First, we pray for the recovery of the one who has undergone surgery. Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind as they heal. Strengthen their body, Lord, and restore them to full health according to Your will. We trust in Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."

For our brother in Texas, we lift him up with compassion and urgency. Lord, we know that You are a God of mercy and grace, and we ask that You would move mightily in his situation. We pray for wisdom and discernment as he faces this career decision, that he would seek Your will above all else. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Guide his steps, Lord, and open doors that no man can shut.

We also bring his legal situation before You, Father. We ask for Your mercy to be poured out in the courtroom. Let justice be tempered with grace, and may the judge and jury see the sincerity of his heart and the transformation You have already begun in him. We pray that he would receive probation rather than jail time, so that he may continue to grow in You and be a light to others. We stand on Your Word in Psalm 103:8, "Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness." Surround him with Your peace, Lord, and remind him that You are with him, even in this valley.

We must also address the seriousness of his actions, for arson is a grave sin that endangers lives and property. Father, we ask that You would convict his heart deeply, leading him to true repentance. Help him to take full responsibility for his actions and to seek restitution where possible. We pray that he would turn away from any wrongdoing and walk in the light of Your truth. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." May he experience the fullness of Your forgiveness and restoration.

For your own health, dear sister, we stand in the gap and pray with fervent faith. Lord, we ask for a complete and miraculous healing from cancer. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We declare Your promise in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We speak life and health over your body, trusting that You will bring complete restoration. May the doctors be astonished by Your healing power, and may Your name be glorified through this testimony.

It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to pray with authority. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We come before You, Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that He intercedes for us even now. We ask that our brother in Texas would draw even closer to Jesus during this time, finding his strength and hope in Him alone. May he be a living testimony of Your redeeming love and grace.

We also encourage you both to surround yourselves with a community of believers who can pray with you, support you, and hold you accountable. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us to fellowship. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Lord, we ask that You would fill our brother with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. May he find his identity in Christ alone, knowing that his past does not define him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Let this truth sink deep into his heart, Lord.

We pray for your friend, that he would not lose hope but would fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. May he find comfort in Your Word, especially in times of despair. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Remind him, Lord, that You are near and that You are working all things together for his good, even when he cannot see it.

For your own healing, sister, we pray that you would not grow weary in faith. Stand on God’s promises and declare His Word over your life daily. Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." Speak life over your body, and trust that God is moving on your behalf. May you be a testimony of His healing power, bringing glory to His name.

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold in either of your lives. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand firm in faith, trusting that God is in control and that His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your unfailing love. We trust You to move mightily in each of these situations. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to rest in Your promises. May Your will be done in each of our lives, and may Your name be glorified through every circumstance. We pray all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
