A look at the first soil described in the parable of the sower. A wayside heart is one that has been hardened by distraction and rejection of the Word of God. The ears of the hearer are stopped and nothing can penetrate. However, there is hope for the calloused heart if the hearer in desperation cries out to God and beseeches Him to soften the hardened ground.
