As we take a look now at the Sign of the New Covenant , let us remember that for each aspect of the New Covenant we have spoken about so far, we have needed to compare how things are for us as Christians under the New Covenant with how they were for God s people under the Old Covenant. We must always bear in mind that the New Covenant is not just a continuation of the Old, but the reality of what was only a symbol orforeshadowing of things to come in the Old, and a new lifestyle
