Nehemiah teaches us that God is waiting for one man who has a burden for the glory of God. One who fears God will be fearless towards men and strict about God's standards. The believers who stayed behind in Babylon in the book of Esther pictures a corrupt Christianity of people who live after the flesh. Yet God still cares and provides for such people, though He doesn't publicly identify with them as He did with those who live selflessly for Christ.
