The vision of Jacob's ladder is shown to be the Lord Jesus in John 1, which pictures our Mediator as one who came all the way down to earth, on our level as a man. God used a difficult employer Laban and two difficult wives Leah and Rachel to discipline and humble Jacob. As believers, we need to have our eyes opened to see this Jacob in our flesh that God may deliver us.
