God put it on my heart to take a bit of a detour this morning. A prolonged debate has been ongoing, particularly intensifying in recent years, regarding the necessity of tithing in the present era. Many argue that tithing is merely an Old Testament command to comply with the law, even asserting that, since Jesus fulfilled the law, tithing is no longer required. However, I prioritize this particular line of reasoning – "If Jesus said it; it is true." This is what Jesus said concerning tithing in the New Testament texts of Matthew and Luke: “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects...
https://be-an-encourager.blogspot.com/2026/01/let-them-part-3-become-pastor-mike.html Pastor Mike McClure, Jr., shared these words in the first 5 minutes of this message “Let Them” Part Three If milk, food, and your battery can have an expiration date, so can people in your life (their assignment). And we have to stop living in this place where people walk around assuming that their spot in your life is forever. You cannot act any way, treat me any kind of way, don't come through for me, don't help me become who God called me to be, and assume because God is in me, you get to stay next to me. In this season of my life, I am at a place where I am done over functioning, allowing people to get the best of me while giving me the least of...
Glorious Sabbath Day People of God The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!" "Hosanna in the highest heaven!" (Matthew Ch.21 v.9, NIV) For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen. (Romans Ch.11 v.36, NLT) "For I am a great king," says the LORD Almighty, "and My name is to be feared among the nations." (Malachi Ch.1 v14b, NIV) Praise God in the highest for He is worthy of our praise Amen
```markdown As always, please be advised that you are never under any obligation to read my posts. My contribution to the spreading of God's Word, whether through gospel or prophecy, is intended for receptive ears only. This city's behavior has been so sad to witness. "Adam, where are you?" Where is her wise counsel? Opting for their own grandeur and hierarchy, Christ was the stone that the builders (religious leaders) rejected; and whereupon they continue to stumble. Keeping in mind that "Christ is the Word of God," the following text is a perfect example of how cities continue to stumble at that stone (i.e. fail to understand or submit to God's agenda). This is the message that Jeremiah delivered to the city – and the city's...
Put On The Whole Armor Of God
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts...
As always, please be advised that you are never under obligation to read my posts. My contribution to the spreading of God's Word, whether through gospel or prophecy, is intended for receptive ears only. Sometimes, when traveling during my conventional roles in the corporate realm, I would encounter people who insisted that my hometown was "Lame." That never set too well me. Many times I found myself, in "heated debate," attempting to defend her. Howbeit, given my current experience in my hometown, I almost succumbed to that mindset. But, I'm going to defend her again, somewhat. My hometown is not lame. There is a wealth of skill, talent, and yes, even intellect here. But... "Houston, YOU do, indeed, have a problem." Like Rome and...
Glorious Sabbath Day People of God: Matthew Ch. 7 v.16 (ESV) You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? As a Disciple, Apostle, and Prophetess, I continue to give freely of my spiritual gift of prophecy. Along with the prophetic ministry comes whatever fruit (reward) God deems due, in season. The timeless problem with self will is, like Nazareth, man continues to seek to control God's prophetic ministries. All fruit have a season for harvest. Nazareth attempted to, not only control the servant–Jesus, she likewise sought to selfishly and prematurely (out of season because of unbelief) harvest that which was not hers'. Could Jesus have given Nazareth a second chance? Of...
