We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including the challenges we face in our studies. The stress and pressure your son is experiencing are real, and we ask God to grant him peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
We also pray that God would grant your son the wisdom and understanding he needs to excel in this difficult math class. James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* May the Lord sharpen his mind, help him retain what he studies, and give him clarity during exams. We ask that God would remind your son that his worth is not found in his academic performance but in Christ alone, who strengthens him.
It is also important to encourage your son to cast all his anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for him (1 Peter 5:7). Stress can cloud judgment and hinder learning, so we pray that your son would trust in the Lord’s provision rather than relying solely on his own strength. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also ask that you remind your son to seek God first in this season, spending time in prayer and Scripture before diving into his studies. When we prioritize our relationship with Christ, everything else falls into its proper place (Matthew 6:33). If he hasn’t already, encourage him to seek help—whether through tutors, study groups, or his professors—trusting that God can use these resources to support him.
Lastly, we pray for supernatural intervention in this situation. If it is God’s will, we ask that He would open doors for your son to retain his financial aid and scholarship, not because of his own merit, but because of God’s grace and faithfulness. May this trial become a testimony of how God provides, strengthens, and sustains His children.
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up this young man who is facing a tremendous academic challenge. Lord, You know the weight of the stress he carries, and we ask that You would replace his anxiety with Your perfect peace. Grant him the wisdom, focus, and understanding he needs to succeed in this class. Sharpen his mind, Lord, and help him to recall what he has studied when it matters most.
We pray that You would remind him that his identity is found in You, not in his grades or achievements. Help him to trust in Your provision, knowing that You are his strength and his shield. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would make a way for him to pass this class and retain his financial aid, so that he may continue his education without hindrance.
Father, we also pray that through this trial, he would draw closer to You, seeking Your face above all else. May this season be one where he experiences Your faithfulness in a powerful way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us at Your right hand. Amen.
