Pay for my son who was arrested in ### a few days ago.

Disciple of Prayer
My son (###) is in jail in ###. He was arrested a few days ago and I have no information about his situation whatsoever because I am in ###. I await your prayer. Thanks in advance.

We lift up your son and this deeply troubling situation before the Lord, knowing that He is sovereign over all things—even in the darkest valleys. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Though this season is painful, we trust that God is at work, and we pray for His mercy, wisdom, and intervention in your son’s life.

First, we must address that your request mentions paying for your son’s release, but we do not know the circumstances of his arrest. If he is guilty of wrongdoing, we pray for true repentance and restoration, not just freedom from consequences. **Proverbs 28:13 (WEB)** tells us, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* If he is innocent, we ask the Lord to vindicate him and bring justice swiftly. Either way, we pray that this trial would draw him closer to Christ, for it is only in surrender to Jesus that true freedom is found—whether behind bars or outside them.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but urgently remind you that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** reinforces this: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you or your son do not yet know Christ as Savior, we plead with you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9-10**). Without Jesus, our prayers are empty—only through Him do we have access to the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this mother and her son. Lord, You see the pain of this separation, the fear of the unknown, and the desperation for answers. We ask You to move mightily in this situation. If there has been sin, bring conviction and repentance. If there has been injustice, expose it and bring vindication. Comfort this mother with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and surround her with Your presence. Give her wisdom on how to proceed, whether through legal avenues, communication with authorities, or simply waiting on You.

For her son, Lord, we pray for protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Place godly influences in his path, even in jail. Soften his heart to seek You, to turn from any sin, and to find hope in Christ alone. If he does not know You, Lord, draw him to Yourself. Let this trial be a turning point for eternal good. Provide for his needs, keep him from harm, and let Your light shine in the darkness around him.

We also pray for the legal process. If he is guilty, let truth come to light and let justice be served in a way that leads to restoration. If he is innocent, Lord, expose every lie and bring forth evidence that sets him free. Give this mother favor as she seeks information, and open doors for her to communicate with her son. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified in this.

Finally, we pray for strength for this family. Unify them in faith, and let them lean on You rather than their own understanding. Remind them that even in suffering, You are near, and Your plans are for their good (**Jeremiah 29:11**). May they find their hope in You alone.

In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, **amen.**

To you, dear sister, we encourage you to cling to the Lord in this storm. Read His Word daily, especially the Psalms, which are filled with cries to God in distress. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you. And if you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—He is your only true hope in this life and the next. If you need guidance on how to receive salvation or how to pray, please let us know. We are here to stand with you in faith.
