Help with my Social Life in ###

Hey, what's happening? I'm new in town and just graduated high school.

This is my first year in New Jersey, and I haven't got any friends yet. Spending all my time studying, and searching for affordable colleges I really would love to have a boyfriend and perhaps some best friends. I'm 18 now, and hope I don't get stuck all alone in the summer. My former hometown friends have boyfriends now and don't call anymore, that's a given. Tonight, I'd like to pray so that I can party every week with amazing friends just like me. I need all the friends I could get. I love concerts, shopping, playing tennis and aerobics and horseback riding. Gee, Why is everyone so "clicked" all the time, doesn't anyone want a new friend anymore.

true love, where's the one I'm dreaming of as Madonna? That is the question I'm asking tonight. What does it take to get a nice boyfriend? Do you really have to own a car to have a special mate? Should I wait for the guy to ask me out if he looks interested, or should I make moves on him before the more popular girls do? I'm a very girl who needs a nice guy to date for a while, but I'm not a size 4, 12. I'm on the voluptuous side but totally fit. Unique but not different, I'm wondering about how I should approach potential dates. Is "flirting" still in style? I'm worried because I haven't really dated and don't want to be humiliated if they make fun of the "new school"; they may be immature a lot.

So, asking someone out may ruin my whole future especially if there's a lot of friction between the girls in my town now. All I want is to go to the movies and dancing with a potential boyfriend, now I'm stuck walking the dog during "powerwalking".
