We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is suffering from a back injury that brings him pain and robs him of restful sleep. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We stand on this promise today, believing that You see his pain and are already at work in his body.
Lord, we ask that You would touch his back with Your healing hand. Where there is inflammation, bring relief. Where there is strain, bring restoration. Where there is pain, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would grant him restful sleep, for it is in the stillness of the night that You often do Your deepest work. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over him now.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and healthcare providers attending to him. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing. May they see clearly what needs to be done and act with confidence and skill, all for Your glory.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of pain or infirmity that may be afflicting him. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and strength over his body, trusting that You are working even now to bring about his complete restoration. Help him to lean on You in this time of weakness, for Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." May he find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises.
We also encourage him to seek You in this season, to draw near to You and find solace in Your Word. Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May this trial draw him closer to You and deepen his trust in Your faithfulness.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
