I fully understand the pain experienced from the loss of a relationship. The thoughts of "what if" will continue to weigh you down if you don't stop them. Whenever you begin to get down about that relationship, have a talk with God. Ask God for help to heal and accept this loss. Remember God is in full control. If you are not with ### it's because God did not allow it to happen. We never know what God is protecting us from and we must accept his will. Let go and let God have his way. Trust that God will work things out for your good.
